About Me!

Hey everyone!
i really hope you've enjoyed looking at all the cool stuff that is one the main page of our blog. i just wanted to take this first post to tell you a little about myself.
i am a sophomore (by hours) at Abilene Christian University. i am a speech pathology major and i am LOVING it so much! its a great program and i have had very supportive profs so far. i graduated from Clyde High, and i had a great time there as well. i am a pretty active person, i love to run, read, eat, try new things, hang out with my friends and the boyfriend (Jake), i love discussing God to people who have different perspectives than i do, i actually really like school, im taking 17 hours this semester so that is keeping me very busy. plus i work in the ACU library so i really dont have any time.  i love giraffes...thats a big one, i love my family so much! and i kinda like that little things life throws at me, keeps everything interesting and helps me grow spiritually and emotionally. i have a passion for infants and small children. i work in a nursery with 17 to 21 months, i also babysit QUITE a bit.  i LOVE to travel. i have been to England, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Mexico, and various states including Hawaii. Most of those were with mission work. i have a little bit of a passion for culture. people intrigue me. i love to be around different types of people to see how they live and to see what i can learn from them.
my passion for travel has really got a fire burning in me to go to Ghana this summer, not only to travel and be in a foreign place and have new experiences, but i think God is calling me to go share my gifts with people that need them. i think God has been preparing me for this trip for the past few years and im ready to take on the challenge. teaching in an orphanage is a prime opportunity to share what i have been studying in school and to spread the glory of God through gifts that He has given me. i have been bless my whole life beyond what i deserve and i thank God everyday that he gives me another chance to live what i feel called to do. whoever may be reading this (sorry i dont like to use punctuation or caps) i hope that God has moved in your life and that you are sharing the light He has given you with others. thank you for prayers and support! we'll need it! im so excited about this opportunity! what a blessing!!

May the LORD bless you and keep you.
